2024 marked Dancemakers’ 50th anniversary as a company. To celebrate, in January of this year, Dancemakers welcomed 10 artist researchers to spend time with our archives at Dance Collection Danse as part of our Archival Project. The artist researchers developed projects that respond to the rich history of the company, as well as contextualize it from where we are today.
We will be screening a short media project and hearing short reflections from 2 researchers. We hope you will join us to look back at the years, art, work, and living that has passed, and help us imagine how we will dance forward into the future.
The event will be ASL interpreted
*Access note about the new location:
Urbanspace Gallery is a fully accessible space on the main floor of the 401 Richmond Building. Gender neutral, wheelchair accessible washrooms are also located on the main floor around the corner from the gallery space. There is a ramp and door with accessible button at the front of the building.
