Alyssa Levac

Alyssa Levac is a multidisciplinary artist, choreographer, and researcher based in Tkaronto/Toronto, Ontario. The intersections of her identity as a queer, Métis woman inform her artistic practice working in dance, where she explores how feminist principles shape creative processes, decision-making, and collaboration in the studio. She holds a BFA in Dance and a Master of Arts in Theatre, Dance & Performance Studies from York University, where her research led her to develop an inclusive model for dance composition rooted in relational care. She is passionate about building community through the arts and creating works that reawaken the curiosities that systems of domination ask us to forget.
