Theo Belc
Artist
Theo Belc (they/them) is a queer, Toronto-based lighting designer and creative problem solver. Rooted in a deep foundation of technical dance and theatre, they approach every project with rhythm, curiosity, and care. They’ve recently returned to TMU as an Alumni Associate Technical Director to support student productions.
A Dora Mavor Moore Award nominee for outstanding design, Theo’s multidisciplinary practice illuminates stories that resonate with the Toronto arts community, particularly those centering marginalized voices.
Recent credits include: Vitals (Second Act Actor Productions, 2026); Citadel Dance Exchange (Toronto Programming, 2026); and Associate Lighting Designer for YOU Dance 2025-2026 (National Ballet of Canada).
