Raymundo Moreno
Artist
Raymundo Moreno is a Mexican, passionate dancer, and choreographer dedicated to exploring the transformative power of the Dance and Theatre.
As a queer Latino artist, Raymundo brings a unique perspective to his artistic endeavours, infusing his work with themes of identity, social justice, and cultural representation. Raymundo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Dance from the University of the Américas Puebla (UDLAP) in Mexico and recently completed his Master’s degree in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies at the University of Toronto in 2024.
Since 2017 Raymundo has taught contemporary dance, in Toronto, specializing in Contact-improvisation, Dance-improvisation, and floor-work. His teaching philosophy aims to foster profound connections between the body and mind through movement and is rooted in inclusivity, empathy, and cultural awareness, reflecting his own experiences as a queer Latino navigating the world of dance.
