Artist

Situated in dance/movement, and extending into drawing, writing, printmaking, mixed media, film, and voice work, Eva’s practice centers on the co-existence of varying mediums to explore layered and alternate modes of performance. Shifting between performative and non-performative surfaces, Eva strives to investigate the archaeological nature of artmaking, identifying it as a process of both preservation and reimagining. She is drawn to generative, life affirming modes of creation, which lend themselves to collaboration, as well as the rooting of art practice in community building, and collective changemaking towards sustainable human/more than human futures. Eva holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance from Concordia University and is presently completing an MA in Expressive Arts from The European Graduate School. In recent years, Eva has participated as a selected artist in ImPulsTanz Festival’s ‘ATLAS program’ (Vienna, 2023), Parbleux’s ‘Inception Residency’ (Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, 2023), Cultivate’s ‘La Baldi Residency’ (Italy, 2024), and Atelier 11’s ‘L’AiR Arts Residency’ (Paris, 2024). She is currently an artist in residence at d.r.i.f.t in Dharamshala, India.
