Edward “Eddie” Kastrau is a former professional dancer whose performance career spanned decades within Canada’s contemporary dance community. Following his years on stage, he has devoted himself to preserving dance history through archival, restaging, and legacy projects, including stewardship of significant choreographic works. Eddie works closely with artists, estates, and cultural institutions to document, license, and re-introduce important repertoire to new generations. Alongside his arts leadership, he operates as an IT consultant for numerous arts organizations, providing strategic technology guidance, systems management, and digital infrastructure support. His work bridges artistry and technology, sustaining both the creative spirit and its practical foundations.
