Curatorial Statement

Celia Green curated and birthed a temporary space to nourish the bodies, souls, hearts, and asses of trans*, non-binary and gender non-conforming dancers, performing artists and creators. An invitation to return to your body and to feel good.

“Some things I am considering: care, pleasure, comfort, party streamers, surprise! a feeling of sexiness, the body, fun, the fact that 2023 will be raw and fresh when this happens, beauty.

What I hope for this to be : A place of arriving and becoming, a transition, a transitional space to exist in, a place of comfort, maybe it will feel like a liminal space, I hope it feels like magic.

*the asterisk in trans refers to the infinite identities that exist under the trans umbrella, such as: two-spirit, genderfluid, trans woman, trans man, trans-femme, trans-masc, genderqueer, non-binary, agender, the list goes on and on and is forever evolving. Anyone who self-identifies as existing under this umbrella is included in this definition.
