Caleb Klager
Artist
Caleb Klager has solidified his place in Toronto’s rich electronic music scene performing machine – driven techno, electro, and experimental live sets.
Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto’s jazz performance program as a bassist, his deep passion for live improvisation remained at the forefront of his electronic projects and led him to become an acclaimed artist performing at many festivals and event series across Canada, such as TONE Festival (Toronto, ON), Sled Island (Calgary, AB), and MUTEK (Montréal, QC).
Across releases on Nodding Heads, LinkMusic, and his own Wavemap label, Klager continues to hone his signature style where deep bass, dub echoes, and bristling grooves meld together to create visceral sonic creations. Recordings Gamma (2025), Kinetics (2024), Theories (2021), and collaborative project Experimental Link 6 with Niloufar Shiri (2024) stand as landmarks of his journey exploring minimalistic electronic rhythms and live improvisation.
Outside of his solo work, Klager is an esteemed collaborator for multiple group projects including Dastgâmachine alongside Setarist Mahmoud Schricker and DJ Neonlichter, a cross-cultural work blending traditional Persian music and electronic dub rhythms. He is also the second half of Arc&Texture alongside sound artist and producer Pursuit Grooves, blending unorthodox percussive tones and experimental bass textures into electrifying live performances marked by spontaneous improvisation.
Klager ’s unique improvisational approach – both as a producer and performer – aims to not just create music for the body but equally for the mind, tracing hidden connections across traditions and histories.
