Anisha Manyal

Artist

Anisha is a Toronto-based dance artist, choreographer, and producer trained in Bharatanatyam at the Kalaiamram Academy of Fine Arts & Yoga. Her work bridges Indian classical and folk traditions with contemporary movement, creating interdisciplinary performances grounded in rhythm, storytelling, and collaboration. She has performed with Sampardaya, Karma Dance, and Dusk Dances, and choreographed large-scale productions for Jadoo Entertainment, including Om Shanti Om and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Her practice centres collaboration across disciplines, developing work that is culturally rooted, community-driven, and accessible, while expanding how South Asian dance is experienced through contemporary performance, live music, and shared artistic creation.
