Screen:Moves invited artists from across Canada to create original short dance films for this one-night-only program. The program features a wide range of formats—experimental, narrative, animated and comedic works, offering a unique cross section of Canada’s diverse dance communities on screen.

The 2018 edition of the program features works by Aria Evans, Michael Caldwell, Nikola Steer, Peter Chin, Marie Lambin, Jenna Schaefer, Stewart Legere, Cara Spooner, Travis Knights, Kelsey Elliot, Hannah Levin McGrath, David Phu, Kendra Epik, Corynne Bisson, Karen Fennell, Simon Rabyniuk, and others.

The RT Collective is a curatorial team made up of Marcin Wisniewski, Christophe Dupuis, and a variable collection of collaborators operating mostly in Toronto (but sometimes in other places) since 2013. Through screenings, exhibitions, panel discussions, and workshops, they foster community and strengthen dialogue within Canada’s media arts sector. Operating within a continuously redefined collaborative structure, they examine, question, and deconstruct traditional curatorial models, proposing alternative relationships between curators, artists, and publics, facilitating the development of new models in the creation, presentation, and distribution of art.
